The Engineering Document Control and Data Management Course covers material that is critical to the successful outcomes of engineering projects of any size or type with respect to the basic questions of who, what, how, where, when and why. All these areas/questions will be explored, in many cases, in great detail with some hands-on activity provided too.
All too often DC/DM is either
overlooked, understaffed or team members with experience are not given
sufficient time (or lack the skills/knowledge required) to train juniors when
they are taken on and even after years in the profession do not entirely
understand the big picture or are never 100% sure of what the outcomes of their
labor are. Misunderstanding the profession often results in a poor choice of
tools provided to DC/DM team members to use.
